Spantatus Energy Supply Company (Private Joint Stock Company) registered under registration number 63826 on 11/19/96 in Mashhad, with the aim of creating employment and solving the problems of the country’s agricultural lands, began investing in the construction of a daily production line of 400 tons of bentonite sulfur paste and sulfur paste in the Sarakhs region. Subsequently, with the help of the expertise of young people and university researchers in the country, it succeeded in producing liquid and micronized sulfur with completely Iranian-made devices.
Since many Iranian soils are alkaline, plants are deprived of essential elements such as iron, phosphorus and zinc, and as a result, the yield of plants, especially cereals, is reduced due to the lack of essential nutrients. In Iranian soils, high soil pH makes nutrients unabsorbable. The only important and widely used method for amending and improving calcareous or alkaline soils is to use bentonite sulfur or liquid sulfur. Thiobacillus bacteria have the ability to oxidize sulfur, which changes the pH of the soil and makes it acidic, which makes iron, zinc and phosphorus elements absorbable by plants and increases their yield and growth. This company has been able to contribute significantly to the productivity and optimization of more than one million hectares of agricultural land in the country with a capacity of over 400 tons per day of bentonite sulfur paste and liquid sulfur.
